Pipe Smokers » General http://www.pipe-smokers.net Pipe Smokers Unite Fri, 16 Sep 2011 21:07:25 +0000 en hourly 1 http://wordpress.org/?v=3.2.1 Tobacco Pipes a Hobby not a Habit http://www.pipe-smokers.net/tobacco-pipes-a-hobby-not-a-habit/ http://www.pipe-smokers.net/tobacco-pipes-a-hobby-not-a-habit/#comments Mon, 01 Aug 2011 14:22:17 +0000 Sean http://www.pipe-smokers.net/?p=982 Tobacco pipes are a passion of mine!  Unlike smoking in other forms smoking a tobacco pipe is an excuse to slow down, read, or talk with friends.  Today we find ourselves in a society that is rushing and racing for everything.  Pipe smoking is one of the few things in my life that forces me to slow down and sit with my thoughts, and for once in my day be still.  Many people view this aspect of smoking a tobacco pipe as a drawback because is viewed as inconvenient, however pipe smoking is meant to be enjoyed not rushed.  If you cannot sit and enjoy your pipe over a good book or a good conversation then your tobacco pipe is not being fully realized.  The great joy of being a smoker of tobacco pipes is found in the pipe itself not just the smoking, a pipe smoker is a collector and one that enjoys their collection many times above actually smoking them.  Take some time today to slow down and enjoy your pipe, I know I will.  Here is have my new Rad Davis pipe that I will be sure to slow down and enjoy!

When the fire is applied it expands, and climbs up and towers above the pipe, and presently tumbles off inside of one’s vest. The tobacco itself is cheap, but it raises the insurance.
