Kenny, thanks for your thoughts. My smoke could have been dry due to the fact that I bought a pre-opened tin that was very old from my pipe shop. I imagine that it had dried out quite a bit being that it was a sample.

I’ve tried it one but I think I’ll stick to aromatics. This was a bit to “smokey” for me. However after reading your review I might have to five it another try. Thanks I the awesome pipe blog.

I like Golden Sliced very much but be warned, this tobacco is not usually described as “cool” by anyone I know. If fact many old VA smoker friends of mine avoid it because of tongue bite. Just pack it very loosely & smoke it slowly & enjoy. In fact this is Tom Eltang’s favorite tobac!
