First Impressions: Turner Walnut Poker

First Impressions: Turner Walnut Poker

Yesterday my new Turner Walnut Poker arrived in the mail, a hand crafted simply elegant pipe by Simeon Turner. The craftsmanship is top notch, and the simple clean lines are easy on the eye. The balance of the pipe is great, it’s light weight and sits very conformably in my mouth. The walnut poker might even be my new driving pipe simply on comfort level in the mouth. The dark long, graceful stem seemed a perfect match to the walnut bowl. The lines in the briar really pop.

I am sitting here smoking the first bowl as I write this and I think I am in love. I know that it will take a test of time to truly determine if I can grow old with this pipe, but thus far I am impressed. It is a great smoke already, and I am looking forward to many more. If it keeps this up the Turner is bound to become on of my favorites. Well done. Stay tuned for a update on the Walnut Poker after about 10-20 smokes.

I too can attest to the quality of turner pipes. I am the owner of the Acorn Warden that is on his site and i am more than impressed. I am sure that you will cherish your pipe much as i do. It was my first.
